Since 2002, Sophie MERITET is Associate Professor in Economics with HDR* in Université Paris-Dauphine PSL and researcher at  Centre de Géopolitique de l’Energie et des Matières Premières CGEMP Laboratoire d’Économie de Dauphine LEDa (UMR CNRS IRD 8007-260).
Her researchs are mainly on the reorganisation of energy industries, energy policies and energy firms behaviours. She published and took part in the publication of several books, chapters and papers in her research fields.
Since 2017, Sophie MERITET is  Delegate « Evaluation, Accreditations, Rankings » appointed by the President of the University.
Sophie MERITET teaches microeconomics, industrial organization, antitrust, European economics and energy economics in different degrees and institutions.
She also manages continuing education seminars in different institutions and firms.
